Key milestones in the IndianShopping story
Company Founded
IndianShopping incorporated in Bangalore by Arjun Mehta and Priya Krishnamurthy. Seed funding of âš5 crore secured from angel investors. Initial team of 12 engineers and 3 business leads assembled.
Platform Launch
Beta launch in Bangalore and Mumbai with 50 vendors. First 1,000 orders fulfilled. AI concierge feature released. Partnership with 10 local franchise stores for last-mile delivery.
100 Cities Milestone
Expanded operations to 100 cities across India. Series A funding of âš50 crore raised. Vendor count crossed 1,000. Launched 30-minute express delivery in top 10 metro cities. Team grew to 200+.
Premier Membership Launch
Introduced IndianShopping Premier membership with free delivery and exclusive deals. 50,000 subscribers within the first month. Launched voice ordering feature for regional language support in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
Franchise Program Launch
Officially launched the IndianShopping Franchise Program. 150+ cities now served with 2,000+ vendors. Series B funding of âš200 crore secured. First 50 franchise stores operational across tier-2 cities. Goal: 500 franchise stores by end of 2026.
